JA Fall Carnival

I didn't get any pictures at the actual carnival. I had to work at a booth and forgot to give my camera to Will to take pictures of the boys at all of the games. We had a good time though. Bo is a Clone Trooper (from Star Wars) and Buddy is Darth Vador. This was the first year that I did not get to pick their Halloween costumes (sad). I understand Bo wanting to be something boyish, but Buddy? He's only 2! Oh well, he was a cute Darth Vador!

Chicago Marathon

This blog is not about me, but my boys. However, my dad and I ran in the Chicago Marathon this past Sunday. It was my favorite marathon yet! I definitely want to do it again. The city was is beautiful and so clean. There were spectators along the whole course which made running easy. I thought during the race, "where did the first 15 miles go?" It was that fun. We ran through 29 neighborhoods in Chicago including Lincoln Park, Boystown, Chinatown, and many more. The weather was gorgeous but HOT!! It was 84 degrees at 11:00 and hardly any clouds. Sunday night after the race, we went to a Taylor Swift concert at Soldier Field (where the Bears play). It was a great weekend. The only bummer is that we didn't have enough time to shop on Michigan Avenue. I know Will is happy about that though. Thanks Dad for another amazing race! I am so lucky to have someone to run marathons with and even more lucky that it is my dad. It wouldn't be half as fun if I had to run them alone. In fact, I would have never run a marathon if we had not done them together. The Chicago Marathon makes number 7 for us.

2nd Soccer Game

Bo's second game was on Monday. We got our uniforms finally! Will's parents were here and got to watch Bo. He did more dancing and jumping around than he did kicking the ball, but I guarantee that he had more fun out there than anyone else. Will was a little upset, because last spring he actually paid attention to the ball and scored a couple of goals. Monday was a totally different story. At least he has fun wherever he goes. We all got a good laugh out of watching him.

Family Reunion

Sunday we went to a family reunion in Sturgis on my Grandmother's side of the family.
The boys had a great time with so much room to run and play! Of course there was great
food and great company. My grandma or the boys great-grandmother. Doesn't she look great?

First Fall Soccer Game

Bo's first game was last week. The uniforms did not come into until this week though. They won!

Buddy in his Mickey hat and Eli jersey. This was two days after we got back from Disney. He would barely take his hat off . Of course if you ask him what he wants to wear to today, he'll tell you his Eli Manning jersey (Will's favorite) or Miss. State jersey. ALL BOY!

Week at Disney World!

Last Sunday we left for a trip to Disney World with my mom and dad. Talk about a wonderful trip!! It was SO MUCH FUN!!!!! We spent six nights at the Animal Kingdom Lodge - which was amazing! You can just go out on your balcony and see animals roaming. The Animal Kingdom lodge had an African motif and most of the food had an African flavor. Disney does it right! Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of the hotel. I planned on taking pictures of the hotel before we left today, but it just didn't happen. You can go to the Disney website and look at it if you are interested. We highly recommend it. The boys LOVED it! We learned that Bo doesn't like characters. Buddy loves characters and will wait in line ALL DAY LONG to get a hug and take a picture from one of them. Buddy wants to ride every ride. Unfortunately, he is too small for most of the rides he wants to ride. Bo doesn't not like to ride anything. I guess I should say, He doesn't like to ride something that he doesn't know everything about. He doesn't like surprise and several rides we had to carry him kicking and screaming to get him on a ride. He did want to ride Test Track at Epcot. I guess he thought it was going to be like the go carts at Magic Kingdom. To his surprise, the car got up to 64 mph. He did not like it and said, "X that one." It was so sad to leave Disney World today and get back into the real world. We can't wait to go back! Click on Older Posts to see the rest of the pictures. Waiting on our plane.
