Bo's Fifties Program

Bo's end of the year program was Wednesday. It was too cute. The theme was the fifties to celebrate JA's fifty years. It was very entertaining to say the least!
Hair slicked back. White shirt. Rolled jeans. Black shoes. Ready to perform!
Singing the JA Fight Song
Doing the Twist! He actually danced in front of an audience! It was so cute.
He really isn't much of a performer (like me), so this really made me smile.
Sunglasses!
This is Bo during his "duet." All the children take turns standing in front and sing a song. This was Bo and his partner's look the entire song. Thankfully the class sings along, too.

This was during his speaking part.

Best Friends

Today was such a beautiful day! Bo wanted to play outside before his nap today (yes, he still takes a LONG nap everyday). That was at 12:30. The boys did not come inside until 4:15. The only times they came inside were to get a drink or a snack. Oh yeah, they did come in once to change into their favorite shirts. Bo chose his Star Wars Underroos shirt and Buddy wanted his PP or monkey shirt. I did a lot around the house today and peeked outside every few minutes just to make sure they were okay. They played t-ball, soccer, and golf. They had puppet shows and just hung out together. I kept thinking okay, in a few minutes I'll make them come in and take a nap. It never happened. I didn't have the heart to make these two stop playing together. I took this one from inside. At one point, both boys were sitting in these chairs drinking their lemonade with both of the animals, yellow and PP. Yellow and PP were talking to each other. That's when I ran to get my camera, but I was too late to capture the conversation. I wonder what they are talking about. If you don't know Yellow and PP, Yellow is Bo's dog that he has ALWAYS slept with. PP is Buddy's monkey. Can you tell my boys were babies when they gave them their names?

They made me take a picture of Yellow and PP.

Trying to hide from the camera!

Happy Birthday Jake

Jake celebrated his 5th birthday at a Braves game today. I should wait to post these pics until after Scarlett, but I might not get around to it if I wait. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAKE!! It was so fun. Bo ate his first hot dog (not Buddy) and Buddy went on the inflatable slide for the first time. I guess they both gave into peer pressure.

Easter Fun

What a fun Easter Holiday! We celebrated Easter with egg hunts and our annual trip to New Orleans for the Crescent City Classic with the Reinschmiedts and the Ramseys. We all had a great time. The weather could not have been nicer with the exception on Sunday when it was so WINDY!! The boys were great on the trip and both had a blast. Maw took them to the Children's Museum and for a trolley ride to McDonalds on St. Charles on Saturday. They were so worn out, Bo walked into the room and started making his bed to take a nap before we went out again on Saturday night. Can't wait until next year!

Weekend Highlights

Bo had his first t-ball game of the season on Saturday. As usual, he had a blast. The concession stand candy was his favorite part. I think he liked playing ball, too.

Ladies Man!! After that popcicle, Buddy's tummy was stained red as well as his shirt, face, and hands. Some how these girls did not get as messy as he did. That's okay, he had fun.
The Easter Parade in Belhaven was Saturday. I put both boys on their bikes and off we went to the park. Buddy has not ridden his bike very much and refused to peddle, so I pushed him on his bike while he just sat there. I decided that he could just walk in the parade because I was not going to push him anymore. Bo had a blast. Buddy and I - not so much. The parade route was too long. Bo decided to ditch his bike since the route had a HUGE hill in the middle of it. He ran ahead while I pushed the bike and held little Buddy's hand. Buddy and I were the LAST ones back to the park for the Easter egg hunt. By the time we got there, the hunt was all but over. Buddy did find two eggs and one that someone had opened, taken the candy out, and threw on the ground. He didn't care though. He was so tired he just wanted to sit down and drink a juice box.
Behind Buddy, this kind lady filled the broken egg Buddy picked up with bubble gum.
Then she hid the egg for Buddy!
These are all the pictures I have of Bo. After he ditched the bike, he ran ahead with his friends.
After this picture, we caught ride home. I couldn't walk the .45 miles back to our house with two boys and two bikes.
Buddy's laughing here, not crying. After the hunt, they were playing in the front yard and having a good time. I love to see these two play together.
By the way, Buddy got on his bike today and decided he would peddle. He looked like an old pro. I just don't know why he wouldn't do it yesterday! Poor Mama was worn out!
