Friday night, Will had his "graduation" dinner at the University Club. It really was a lot of fun - much more fun than it usually is. I guess that is because this is the LAST dinner we will attend as a resident. I am so proud of Will. After he leaves UMC, he was start his career at the hospital in Starkville. It is a great job and we are so excited to get into the Real World. Not only did Will receive his residency diploma (I guess that's what you call it), he also was recognized as serving this year as Chief Resident. It wouldn't be a real awards ceremony if Will didn't walk away with all of the awards. He received Resident of Year which is voted on by the faculty, Colleague of the Year which is voted on by the residents, and the VA Outstanding Resident award. I am so proud of him! Of course all the residents are wonderful and deserve recognition for their hard work. You know you are in good hands if you ever have to be put to sleep at UMC.
