Several weeks ago, we went to Brookhaven to see our cousins in their new house. The house is BEAUTIFUL!! Everyone had fun. Bo and Robert got stuck playing in the closet in the girls room. It was so funny. Will and I stood outside the closet listening to the two two years old talking (about what - I don't know.) Then they were ready to come out but neither could open the door. Buddy said, "Bo can do it." Bo was not there though. We opened the closet and they were glad to see us. I would love to hear more conversations between the two of them.

Fishing at Belhaven Lake
Last week we all went to Tupelo for the weekend. The boys ended up staying until Thursday. It was a great week. I had lunch with my grandmother. Will had a friend over for dinner. I went to Leigh's pool one day. All of this without the boys! I was lonely sometimes - It was so quiet! I was so happy to see them Thursday! Bo was sad when the Carters left, so we went fishing. Will was on call and I thought I could be a good "boys mom" and take them fishing. Bo promised me he could put the crickets on the hook because I told him I couldn't. I found a bait shop and off we went. Laura and her children went with us. (I didn't take my camera) Bo couldn't or wouldn't touch the crickets. Neither would us moms. JQ was the only one that would touch them. We didn't catch many fish, but we had fun.
Friday, Will went with us back to the lake. We caught a few. Three older boys came to the lake and were cathing big fish using hot dogs. I can touch a hot dog, so we'll go back to the lake this week and maybe we'll have better luck!

Bucket Heads
These picturs are from several weeks ago. It was hot. We were bored (a good thing). The boys stripped down and played in the sprinkler - with sand buckets.

Last Trip to the Jackson Zoo
Friday we visited the Jackson Zoo with friends. It was money NOT well spent. For starters, our poor zoo has very few animals. It is very sad. Buddy was pretty grouchy the entire time we were there. He was hot, tired, and just wanted to go home. When we were leaving, we witnessed an incident (and attempted to help) that the zoo could have cared less about. I'll spare you the details. Just know that I will drive to New Orleans or to Memphis to take my boys to the zoo next time. We are finished with the zoo here and hope our complaints lead to improvements so that other people who visit our Jackson zoo find it a pleasant experience.

On the way home from Gulf Shores, we stopped by the battleship. Here are a few pictures from the USS Alabama.
