Friday we visited the Jackson Zoo with friends. It was money NOT well spent. For starters, our poor zoo has very few animals. It is very sad. Buddy was pretty grouchy the entire time we were there. He was hot, tired, and just wanted to go home. When we were leaving, we witnessed an incident (and attempted to help) that the zoo could have cared less about. I'll spare you the details. Just know that I will drive to New Orleans or to Memphis to take my boys to the zoo next time. We are finished with the zoo here and hope our complaints lead to improvements so that other people who visit our Jackson zoo find it a pleasant experience.

On the way home from Gulf Shores, we stopped by the battleship. Here are a few pictures from the USS Alabama.

Week at the Beach
We went to Gulf Shores last Sunday for the week. When we got there, we went to visit some of our friends at their beach house. This was Buddy's first trip to the beach. Bo was two the last time he went to the beach and he can't really remember it. As you can see, neither boy was afraid of the water. They were so excited, they went into the ocean with their clothes on. After we left the Morgans, we went to spend the night with Kelli and Edgar. Will and Edgar went "night fishing" on Sunday night. They said they caught a bunch of specks but didn't bring any home to eat! Monday, Will and Edgar took the boys on the boat while Kelli and I shopped.

Last Day of K3 Party
On the last day of school, Bo had huge party with lots of games and ice cream. I was able to help out with the party. Unfortunately, I was busy with the turtle game so I didn't get to watch Bo while he hula hooped while wearing a grass skirt and funny hat. I sure wish I had a picture of that! My camera battery died so I didn't get many picutres. These are the ones I did get! He had a great year and we are so excited that next year he will be a Pre-primer!
